May 10 at the rabbit house

The Missouri House Rabbit Society shares a building with the state troopers, but most of the space is devoted to the bunnies. The aisles have twelve bunnies hutches total, six on each side, three above and three below. Some rabbits have the space all to themselves and others, most of them have the word "bonded" on their name tags, share. The last bit of time, I filled up water bowls and strained the fur and hay out of them. Before that, I helped make some food mix, which is one scoop of this stuff, one scoop of that stuff, and half a cup of those colorful things, then mix it all together with your hands. Most of the time, a woman named Terra (?) and I cleaned out a row of cages. I would pick up the bunny and put it in the carrier. Then one of us would shake out the blanket, empty the litter, wipe everything down with a little vinegar, and refill the litter. The other would empty, wash, and refill the food and water dishes. I ended up spilling half of a bowl of water all over a clean blanket and the floor, so we worked together to fill the water the rest of the time. My favorite rabbit was one of a batch of "Caseyville babies" (I think they found this litter in Caseyville, judging by the name). They are half lion, so some of them have manes. One of them, with more obvious scruff, I dubbed "Simba". My favorite, I called "Baby" because I didn't realize Caseyville Baby was a title and not a name. Baby would hop over and say hi when I walked by, and sometimes he'd shove as much of his face as he could between the bars so I'd pet his face. There was a bonded pair named Yin and Yang, one black and one white, who didn't want to be picked up at all. Galahad was a large, white, sweet rabbit. I nicknamed Franny and Fitzgerald the literature rabbits. I didn't know the names of two rabbits, so I named them Pobre Sita and Ichabod, because Pobre Sita looked like a pouty little bunny and Ichabod looked like and Ichabod. There is also a four day old litter and I think I could hold all of them at once in the palm of my hands. I took some pictures:
