Days 9, 10, 11, & 12 - Singing and Dancing

5/13-14/14

Today the fifth graders started their performances. Each group went to the front of the room, plugged in their iPads, and played their song, while I recorded them onto Joe's iPad. As expected, by me at least, none were really decent. The second and third graders continued their orchestra scramble packets while the fourth graders practiced their songs for the Missouri heritage concert. The first graders and kindergartners learned some dances - La Raspa, Sasha, the Cupid Shuffle, the Popcorn, and the Macarena.

The fifth graders went on a field trip today, and the fourth graders had an assembly to go to, so the first part of the day was pretty barren. The rest of the day went about the same as the past two.

We had another music teacher for the day today, and she was awesome. She planned and executed everything amazingly and Joe and I almost didn't have to do anything. So mostly the classes just played some instruments and danced.

  1. That's great that you got to work with another teacher. Sounds like she set a great example.
