Unbeknownst to me when I walked in today, two girls, Sophie and Sarah (twins I think), had won the chance to be music teachers for the day at a trivia night, so they got to plan the classes for today. The choices for each class that they gave were mostly dancing, watching a movie, or going outside for extra recess. Most classes split evenly between two. Some danced and then went outside, and some danced and then watched a movie, but there was always dancing. At about noon I went to Bread Co. to get lunch for me, Joe, Sophie, and Sarah. After lunch was the same lesson plan, although the third graders, who were the last class, got to play rhythm baseball - a game where Joe beats out a rhythm on a drum and the batter has to repeat the rhythm correctly to get on base. Getting the rhythm wrong gets you out. After that, they went outside for a little bit of extra recess and I was on my way.
That's so funny that the twins' music teacher planning had nothing to do with playing music! What a riot!
